Knitters of the North (KOTN)
KOTN was established in 1992 by a dedicated group of fun, fearless knitters.
KOTN is a non-profit, all volunteer led organization. Passionate knitters and crafters fuel our Guild’s creative efforts in Anchorage, Alaska.
Like many Guilds, KOTN struggled to bounce back from the pandemic; however, the need for a strong and vibrant Anchorage knitting guild remained.
In 2025, a group of knitting enthusiasts came together to revamp KOTN, both administratively and creatively, with the goal of ensuring that KOTN remains a fun, welcoming, and creative presence in the Anchorage community.
Our 2026 KOTN Guild year is on the horizon, and once again we’ll be in the community sharing our love of knitting and getting to know others in our crafty community. If you want to stay in the loop about our KOTN events, be sure to check out our KOTN Calendar page, follow us on our socials, and join our mailing list.
While our focus is knitting, our members are talented crafters and we welcome all crafters to join us. Most of our members also crochet—we love crocheters and welcome them to join us in our crafty pursuits.
